The house is located on the edge of the village, along the road, on level ground with a north–south orientation. The site offers views towards the surrounding landmarks, including the Church of St. Jošt, the small churches in Podtabor, and the surrounding hills.

The elongated floor plan draws inspiration from the traditional longitudinal farmhouses characteristic of the Gorenjska plain. Together with the parallel-positioned garage, it forms an entrance courtyard that opens towards the south.

The design of the house is based on a combination of a contemporary cube inserted beneath a traditional pitched roof, as required by the local planning conditions. The contemporary volume is covered by a shallow-pitched mono-pitch roof. On the western side, the cube projects into the roof in the form of a large dormer.

The living area is raised above the courtyard level, with the entrance emphasised as a distinct architectural element. On the southern side, the living area connects to the newly landscaped terrain through a terrace. The interior is open and visually connected to the upper floor by an open, two-flight staircase. The basement level accommodates the service areas and a larger multifunctional space, while the attic is dedicated to the bedrooms.

The built-in furniture was custom-designed and made specifically for the house, including the entrance wardrobes, a flower cabinet integrated into the open stairwell, the kitchen and a glass display cabinet. A traditional stove is reinterpreted as a contemporary dark-blue cubic element.

In October 2009, a treehouse was also built in the immediate vicinity of the family house, based on the same plans as the Treehouse in Trnovo, completed in 2008.
